process migration in ubuntu 14.04


A.A i need linux commands to save complete process image in a txt file and then restore the process by using this txt file..

No. Asking for emailed replies is not reasonable and deprives others access to the answer to your question.

And please post your question in only one place. Repeated postings do not get faster or better answers, are considered rude and are against LQ Rules.

Also, it is only urgent to you, everyone here is a volunteer with their own problems and jobs to look after. Please wait your turn and someone withe the necessary knowledge will provide a response as time permits.

*** Update - A quick internet search turned up several interesting hits on the subject. After a quick summary I do nto believe that you can do this on an arbitrary system, it would seem to be restricted to specialized environments, clusters, etc.

One obvius problem is that you must save much more than the stack and memory image, including open file descriptors, lock states, process ownership info, etc., etc...

I would suggest that a quick duckduckgo might be the fastest way to become informed on an answer.
