Probobly heard this one..


...But I need some help. I checked previous threads and followed instructions but nuthin is workin for me! My problem, is that I installed amsn version 0.83 on Redhat 9.0 I run the program and then it crashes. It says Segmentation fault. If anyone could help me out it would be muchly appreciated.. thanks alot

Well, I dont think anything can be done to cure the 'segmentation fault'....I may be wrong, but then its up to someone more experienced than me, who can let u know if this segmentation fault problem can be resolved.

You can do either of the following:

1. If you were trying to install a .rpm file, then try and find the same file on another site.

OR

2. Try and install a different version of amsn, may be that can solve the issue.

OR

3. If you want to install version 0.83 itself, you can compile it from the source on your own machine. You need to download a .tar.gz version of amsn from any of the sites below:

www.rpmfind.net
www.freshrpms.net

Run it with 'strace name-of-app' and see if you get any pointers from the output of strace.
