Problems with some full screen games, no video :(

Hi all

When I run some games I get sound and stuff, and I'm sure the games are working cause I can shoot and stuff, but theres no video! My LCD says
Quote:

Out of range
H: 27
V: 55
And goes black until I exit the game or restart the x server. Unreal Tournament works fine however. The ndivia drivers are installed correctly and direct rendering works and all that.

Here are some of my specs:

17 inch Kogi LCD (60 KHZ at 1280 x 1024 max i think)
GeForce 5200 256MB
SuSE 9.0 freashly updated with all patches

Dont know if the rest of my system specs are necessaey so I'll leave them out for now.

TIA

out of range simply means the Hz refresh rate being used by your games is ofcause not supported by your LCD

for each game, try to find out if it is possible to change this parameter per game.
you can also check what drivers your using with your monitor and graphics card under suse. see whether there are drivers that will work better on your hardware and for the game compatability. That's only a suggestion.

I just needed to configure my monitor properly in Yast, everything works fine now!
