problems with program using wine
I am trying to run TaxAct using wine. Everything seemed to install correctly and I try to run it using wine. Its first error is "Failed to create empty document" then "Please verify that c:\Program Files\2nd story..... exists, if not you will have to restart TaxAct" The file that it mentions does get created in the folder where the program resides, which is where it is looking. I don't know if wine doesnt' handle this situation and direct the program into the proper linux tree or if there is some way to direct it. I know that this is a program specific problem, but I was hoping that someone ran into something similar or has an idea of something to try.

Are you using the latest version of Wine?
|
Well, I downloaded the latest rpm of wine, since I have red-hat and now I am getting a new error. So maybe if I can fix this problem The other one will go away as well.
Whenever I try to run wine I get the error: "bash: /usr/local/bin/wine: /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory" Has anybody seen this error? |
You installed the FreeBSD binary not the RH9 binary.

is there a solution to this mistake?
