Problems with Nvidia and MDK 9.1

Ok, I've just installed MDK 9.1 with no problems and have done it a couple times before. I was trying to install the latest Nvidia driver and with no avail I've never been able to get the GLX module to find the nvidia driver. The GUI starts fine but the GLX doesn't load. The exact error is:

"Unable to load GLX Module. (XFree86 failed to find the Nvidia driver.)"

Any suggestions as to what to do?

Im just now installing 'drake 9.1 and have an nvidia card, but it may be a couple of days before I have a chance to work on it as my son is in from Quatar.

I'll let you know how it goes if you don't get if fixed before me.

did you edit the XF86Config-4 file??

look for the line that says load "nv"
and change it to
load "nvidia"

and also... in the Module section, make sure you have:

Load "glx"

you should also remove the following lines if they exist:

Load "dri"
Load "GLcore"
