problems with mesa

Hey, ive recently ran into problems installing mesa on my system. right now im using the nvidia drivers from the nvidia website for opengl. i tryed installing mesa, but when i run "make linux-x86" i get a make depend error that says the command is not found. Can anybody possibly assist me here? much thanks appreciated.

nvidia driver already has GLX which is based on mesa.
i think if you install mesa it might conflict with nvidia libs.
exactly what are you trying to do ?
there are some headers and junk in the nvidia package if you put them in the right place you can link to the nividia libs. you can also try using the stock mesa headers with the nvidia libs and see what happens.
used to be we would install x which included mesa then nvidia installer would actually seek and destroy mesa libs so they didn't conflict.

alrighty, thanks, i'll tinker around. what i wanted to do? lol just play DoD with fps greater than 25 lol. im kind of used to MUCH higher fps than that.
