Problems with KDE (stuck at initializing system services)
Hi!
I just setup Debian 3.0 r_1 Woody. I installed the NVidia Drivers and my USB Mouse. But when start the XServer KDE initializes and always stops working when it says "initializing system services". Why is that and what can I do to fix it?
When i type startx the XServer always starts KDE. How can I make it start Gnome?
this happened to me a few times here and there with kde2.2.2 with different distros, try using ctrl-alt-backspace to exit the windowing system, then type "startx" and see what happens. this worked for me, your mileage may vary.
