Problems with jstest and cedega

For starters I want to let everyone know any help is greatly appreciated.

My problem, I am running the latest Cedega and I am trying to configure my game pad under it with a bit of a configuration problem. I am running Mandriva 2006 Club Christmas. In Mandriva's Control Center it comes up as a UPS, but works fine and KDE's configuration app sees it and shows all input from the control correct. Now here is the actual problem. Cedega says to run jstest, so I installed the joystick package for Mandriva, run it and all it shows me are the input values for the controller. Cedega says that it should give me values such as : x,y,rx,ry,pov... etc. How do I get these values from jstest?

The controller is a Saitek P2500 usb controller and not being able to get these values I need for cedega is frustrating. I have searched the forums for jstest, Cedega, and my controller.

Please any help and I want to say thanks in advance.

I remember the days of when you would post and have responses fast

I am not ungrateful for any help I have received here over the years and I am saying to any who have helped thanks again. I have tried to return the favor to others out here in any way I can not because of obligation, but for the fact of thread karma. I may have less then 150 posts, but no more then 10 are from my needing help. The last few post I have made haven't been responded to with anything helpful. My last post before this for example I was having problems with my SoundBlaster AWE64 being configured with sndconfig or alsaconf. It would lock up in the terminal window and do nothing. I was very concise in my description including such items as no driver loaded, kmix having no mixer to work from, etc. I got in my opinion smart ass responces such as uncheck mute. There was a problem with both in 2006 so to solve my problem I reinstalled 2005, copied the config file after sndconfig worked flawlessly, reinstalled 2006 and proceeded to put the 2005 config file in the place of a blank 2006 config file. I then post this as my solution and what the file contained for those who had the same problem. I hope this won't be another post like that where all I got was people who have nothing better but to make smart ass remarks.

No one has configured Cedega for this controller or knows what the right analog stick and D-pad values are for it or the complete values for the whole controller. I have searched several linux forums including this one, googled for it, Yahooed, you name it I tried it to find out why jstest only gives me # values and boolean values instead of the supposed x y ry rx slider pov etc or just for these values alone already given on a page.

I have found NOTHING. Someone has to have gone through this and in the kindness of their heart wants to help me out on any way to solve this. I don't care if someone helps me get the x, y, etc, values from jstest or if they can give me the actual values for each part of the controller string in cedega. I just need help and I am not too proud to ask for it.
