Problems with GLIB ???

Ok my point with glib is i want to change my cursors in my gnome and i found this GCURSOR program and when i want to install it its aking me other programs to install it like GTK and so on.

first i am using Mandrake 10.0 and i guess my mandrake has this already installed,am i wrong? if its installed should i unistall it before installing the new GTK?

the main problem is i started to install GLIB first which is the latest version and i used this commands

./configure
make
make install

and after this i was trying to build pango but it told me that i installed GLIB incorrectly. and it needs a version bigger than 2.5 or something.

i checked some other forums but didnt get anything. please help because im going to go crazy because of this GLIB....

Use the Mandrake Control Centre to install libglib-2.-devel-mdk or whatever it's called. Pango, atk and gtk-2 will have lib-devel versions too
