Problems with GDM (GDM user does not exist error)
 
Working on redhat 9 .
Iam facing one problem while booting the linux system .It showing an msg that says
GDM user does not exist .Please correct gdm configuration /etc/xll/gdm.conf & restart gdm
After that my system boot up on login prompt ,but when iam login up with root ,it says login incorrect .Help me out

Sounds like you would need to re-install some components (gdm for a start). I guess you should search for "forgotten password" first. Not sure how to do that myself.

Did you accidentally delete something by any chance?
