I mention the gnome-python thing because some guy in the gDesklets forums say you needed that in order to work, so i told you to check and install.
But anyway, try again with gDesklets and see what happens, try to find a rpm, some times sources gets too much complicated.

Ok! I finally found gnome python with the help of google.com/linux (never heard of this).

But apparently to install I must type:

./configure --prefix=(prefix where python is installed)
make
make install

I suppose I should type something like ./configure /something/something_else/python right?
but how do I know where it is installed!?

Sorry to bug you with all the questions.. ^^

EDIT: Oh! BTW (extra-stupid-question) how do I run synaptic?

I know that double-posting is supposed to be very naughty-naughty, but this should be posted apart from the rest (I guess).

I downloaded a Gnome-Python RPM (as I'm a complete noob and don't want to mess up things agian), while it was checking for dependencies it said that the python module is required.

PYTHON IS INSTALLED!

That I know for sure... I'm getting the feeling that I'm missings something out.

Anyway, if anyone wants to take a guess on solving this, I mad a clean install of FC 3, and installed everything related to programming languages, gnome, and such. I didn't include server side stuff or KDE. I just finished updating the system, so all most recent stuff is probably installed (which includes the Kernel).

C'mon, guys! Only Electronkz is helping me out! You're not helping the here!
