shouldnt you just run the mozilla shell script, and not the run-mozilla one?

/usr/local required

I am using Red Hat 9, and I was having similar troubles as described above. Specifically, it worked fine for 'root' but was a problem when I tried to use firefox by another user. It would give me the above described exception error. I found that I needed to install firefox into the /usr/local/bin directory in order for it to be available to everybody and not give me any problems. It works now.
