Problems with files greater than 2GB

Hello,

I am trying to collect traces using tcpdump.
But whenever my file size limit reaches 2GB i get an error that the Max file size limit has been reached.
I think there is something called as "unlimited filesize" property.
Can anybody suggest me some solution to this problem.

Some of the older kernels had this limit, so that might be an issue, and I believe samba also shared this problem, along with older versions of Windows. Some more details of what you were working with might help narrow things down a bit, though.
