Problems with 64 bit version of Yast Update
I have a laptop running the regular 32 bit version of SuSE 10.0 and easily and successfully got all of the updates using Yast Update. I also have a desktop with a 64 bit processor running the 64 bit version of SuSE 10.0 and when I went to Yast2 Update on the desktop it was successful with most of the updates, but had errors installing CUPS, anything and everything related to GNOME or GTK, and the linux kernel update. None of the patches had any problems downloading, but the previously mentioned packages had a problem when installing after they were dowloaded. I rebooted and tried re-downloading the failed updates from different sources each time 3 times in a row, and every time the exact same packages had errors installing. Does anyone know what is causing this or how I can fix it? As I said, Yast Update worked fine and easily on my 32 bit SuSE laptop, but is only having this problem in the 64 bit version of SuSE running on my desktop, and I updated them both at the exact same time. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
