problems uninstalling Google Earth

I followed the instructions to uninstalling Google Earth, but in my Applications>Internet, I have an icon that has no symbol, that says:

Failed to execute child process "/opt/google-earth//googleearth" (No such file or directory)

I want to remove this link in Internet. How?

Try right clicking on "Applications" and choose "Edit menu".

If you installed GE from a package manager (such as apt), you probably have to remove the application from there.

That worked, and I didn't have go into terminal to do it!

I installed it as a binary file, and it was stored in /Opt.
