Problems running Quake II

Managed to install Quake II but unable to run.

My video card is a Nvidia Geforce 4 MX440

the rpm that i have installed is quake2-3.20-glibc-6.i386.rpm

Q1: What is the difference between this package and quake2-3.20-6.i386.rpm?

When i tried to run the program, this is what happens:

[root@localhost quake2]# ./quake2
Added packfile ./baseq2/pak2.pak (2 files)
couldn't exec default.cfg
couldn't exec config.cfg
Console initialized.

------- sound initialization -------
sound sampling rate: 11025
------- Loading -------
recursive shutdown
Error: Couldn't load pics/colormap.pcx
[root@localhost quake2]#

Anyone got any ideas on how to solve? Thanx..
