Problems running eric3 python IDE

Ok now, I have read the README.txt file for eric3 and have built and installed( in order!) qscintilla, sip, PyQT and then eric3. I did Not rebuild QT as my version looks OK. No problems were encountered until I try to start eric3 from the CLI and it immediately gives me a segmentation fault and spits me back out at the CLI. Is there some path not getting recognized? Are there any specific flags that I should've used in building any of these components? Just need a little help in looking in the right direction to get this working. Should I rebuild QT as well? Anyway, any help is appreciated. Thanks again in advance.

well, I ran strace eric3 and it looked like there was a bunch of stuff that it was not finding( mainly header files beginning with k*). So, on a hunch, I went and grabbed PyKDE, built and installed and voila! We have Eric3 up and running. I couldn't find anywhere that said that this was a requirement before starting this. Thanks anyway folks.
