problems installing ximian2

I have been trying for the past few days to install the new ximian desktop on my redhat 8 machine. I am using the wget command on the website, and I get all through the installation up to download. However, when it starts downloading all the real packages (after the dependency check and such) the thing will time out and then finally says it can't download. Has anyone else had this problem or any fixes???

I ended up copying the entire directory from my local mirror (ftp://mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.ximian....edhat-80-i386/) into the /var/cache/redcarpet/packages directory and then running the installer.

It still downloaded a couple of extra files, but this is the only way i've had any success installing XD2.
Dare i say the installer currently makes most M$ ones seem perfect!

The above suggestion will certainly work, because them no downloading will be necessary.

What screws up is the download. As an alternative, try using a different mirror.
