I'm trying to install Workrave, a program to reduce the risk of RSI injuries. I've downloaded the tar.gz file to compile it in my Red Hat 8.0 machine. It keeps telling me that it has failed dependencies. I managed to find a RPM package, but the errors are almost the same: that it can't find the GTK2 libraries. When I tried to find these in RPMFIND, and installed them, it keeps telling me that there are missing dependencies.

Has somebody installed this package with success? I'm ready to jump out a bridge. I have spent two weeks already trying to install this software.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Finally, I managed to install Workrave using three rpm packages from Dag Wieers, that can be found here:

ftp://dag.wieers.com/home-made/

The packages are:

libsigc+1.2
gtkmm 1.3.26
and Workrave 1.0.0

Hope this helps anyone.
