open konqueror
press home
create a new directory (e.g. bcm)
download bcm4400-1.0.1.tar.gz to the directory above
open RELEASE.TXT by clicking on it and read carefully
right click on bcm4400-1.0.1.tar.gz -> Extract here -> OK
click src directory to go inside this directory
press Tools -> Open terminal
type: make (enter)
type: su (enter your root password)
type: make install
that's it.

If you have some error messages, e.g. in case of SuSE you have to follow the RELEASE.TXT guide on how to compile it, e.g. in this case you need your kernel source installed.

razod, when you post questions, it is important to list system hardware and software. "on board lan" doesn't tell the people reading your post what they need to know.

Please list:
1) your NIC model (if u don't know what it is, then go to your motherboards manufacturer site, and find out there.)
2) which distro of linux you are having the problem with.
3) any steps you have already tried using to fix the problem.

well i did what you told me and it works now :)

and as for zakl problems with on board lan is just a title if you open it you find the information you need
because it's just an installing problem ;)
