Ok... I just did a fresh install of Debian 5 on an old laptop that I would like to use in the car as a portable media player. I chose the XFCE desktop environment and added the following to my /etc/apt/sources.list:
Code:
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org lenny main
deb-src http://www.debian-multimedia.org lenny main
When I try to install mplayer I get the following:
Code:
# apt-get install mplayer

Google didn't seem to help much.

Thanks!
