Problems installing Mandrake 10.1 on ASUS A8NSLI Deluxe
Hi All,
Well I have been having problems installing Mandrake Linux 10.1 on my ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe board. My current configuration is :
A8NSLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon64 3500
NvRAID 0 (consisting of 2 Maxtor 120GB SATA drives) - I am using this as my primary drve with Win XP already installed in a partition on the above RAID.
160GB Maxtor Ultra ATA drive.
The installation process starts, however after it has taken the language settings it shows a dialog that indicates that it is trying to load the raid drivers. It seems to recognize my H/w raid correctly. However it hangs at this point.
I am a newbie to RAID's and want to know if :
1. It is possible to linux install on the RAID array with RAID array being the bootable/primary drive.
2. Is it possible to get updated drivers for NvRAID that work, and how to tell Mandrake linux installer to use this driver?
3. In the least is it possible to make Mandrake installer skip loading the RAID driver during setup so that i can try loading driver latter.
