Problems Installing Limewire

I am having problems installing the P2P Networking client Limewire. It tells me it can't find my Java Virtual Machine which is installed and up and running fine on my browser. Here is a look at what I get.

[root@localhost mcaldwell]# ./LimeWireLinux.bin
Preparing to install...
tail: `-1' option is obsolete; use `-n 1'
Try `tail --help' for more information.
./LimeWireLinux.bin: line 326: [: `)' expected, found -z
WARNING! The amount of /tmp disk space required and/or available
could not be determined. The installation will be attempted anyway.
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program.
[root@localhost mcaldwell]#

Any advice that could be given or tips would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Where is java? Enter this into a shell. It might be best if you did it as root as it will print loads of warnings about folders you don't have permission to view otherwise.
Code:
find / -name java
Please copy and paste what it reports into your browser so we can see.

Thanks for the advice everyone,

I had already got it working, the Java wasn't my problem I had to enter the path in which Limewire would find it when I did the install and worked fine.

Thanks again

I know people say this all the time, but here's my suggestion:

Install giFT and all of the network plugins and a frontend, possibly giFTCurs, giFToxic, or Apollon (If you're using KDE or Gnome, although Gnome requires additional programs to install Apollon). If giFT won't work, then use LimeWire. I just think that giFT is better because it doesn't hog the resources, and you can search from multiple networks at the same time, from the same window. Plus, it's more customizable

Here is what you need to type to get LimeWire to detect Java.

PATH=$PATH: /<put the hole path to your j2sdk/bin here/

This is what I used and it worked fine for me.

Thanks All
