This is a really strange problem. For work I use yousendit sometimes to transfer files to and from my clients, but for some reason I can't download from these yousendit links, along with other download links, in Linux.
I am not using a proxy, yousendit isn't the only place I'm having problems downloading from, and these links work (I've tested them in Windows and the files transfer just fine). Some downloads pause for a long time and then start again; some downloads just stop all together.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm using the newest / updated Linux Ubuntu.
I tried downloading with yousendit and it didn't show any errors. But from the looks of it, it seems like it's just timing out. Ugg, this makes no damn sense! I did test yousendit with a proxy, and strangely enough - the links I'm having problems with download just fine with a proxy. Now I know the next theory would be that "oh, I must have been banned from the sites I'm having a problem with". This isn't true because I'm still able to download from them wthout a proxy. The problem is that some downloads either timeout or stop shortly after they start. And I don't have this same problem in Windows, so there must be something wrong with my Linux OS.
