Question Problems downloading files with Mozilla and Konqueror

Hi all,

I run Red Hat 9.0 on a HP Proliant DL380 Server using the default supplied versions of Mozilla and Konqueror Web browsers.

Yesterday while trying to download files to the server i noticed the following things:

1) In mozilla, it no longer asks me for a location to save the file, it will just rename the file to some temp name and save it in the /tmp folder.

2) In Konqueror, It does the same thing as mozzilla however this time it saves the file in the /tmp/kde-root/ folder.

Please let me know is there something i can do to fix this???

Thanks
Sumit Sehgal

Possibly some setting was marked off to stop asking and just default to download to the specified place.

I'm not sure where this setting is placed but you can always remove your .Mozilla folder in the users home directory to remove all default settings for mozilla. If you have any bookmarks or the such, you can back those up in that directory, etc.

For mozilla, I think it's :-

Edit -> Preferences

Navigator -> Downloads

and then select download manager. I could be wrong. You'll find something similar in konquerors settings.
