Question Problems compiling avview ... tcl libs aren't found

I have a ATI AIW 9000 with Suse 9 running. To get TV functionality, I've been trying to get the GATOS project running, with no luck...

avview (0.80.3)just won't compile. First problem was that the configure script couldn't find tclConfig.sh and tkConfig.sh .. so I deleted tcl and tk with YAST and recompiled them from source. Now I have the tcl & tk libraries in /usr/local/lib/tcl8.4 and tk8.4 and the sh-files in /usr/local/lib ... My tcl version is 8.4.4

The avview configure script keeps saying that I don't have tcl verison 8.4 ... so I checked the vars in the script.. TCL_VERSION is EMPTY!!

I also tried ./configure --with-tcl="/usr/local/lib" --with-tk="/usr/local/lib" with no luck...

Must I set any variables in bash before compiling??

Thanx in advance!
