I am running slack64-current and updated all the files released on 15.7. Also running kde-4.13.3 and also rebuilt my Nvidia driver after the update. The problem is that I can start KDE without problems but when I open an application (firefox, thunderbird, filezilla, etc) the applications open and run but with a fixed window size. The buttons in the upper right corner of all apps that control resizing, minimizing and closing are missing completely. If I try to grab a corner of an app to resize it that does not work either. Any thoughts on what is missing?? Thanks in advance.

Issue solved. I downloaded the KDE packages again. Looked like some had been changed since I first downloaded. Reinstalled kde-4.13.3 and everything works as it should now.
