Unhappy Problem with XMMS on RedHat 8

I recently upgraded to RedHat 8.0. The XMMS in this version does not open mp3s. It just keeps on prompting to open a file even when I have chosen the file I need to listen to.

This did not happen in RedHat 7.3. I even used to play mp3s directly of my fat32 partitions. Now it just won't open mp3s period, regardless if they are on a ext3 partiotion of a fat32 partition.

Please help, I need music while I work

Regards,

Danish

just like KayJay said, you need the mp3123 plugin which RedHat removed.
Anyways, you can download it from here:
