problem with xen virtual machine

hi, i am pretty new to linux an i seem to be running into troble with using XEN virtual machine software. i go into YaST and under software, i click XEN virtual machine installation. when i click on it is says that it needs to be running the XEN kernel, so i open YaST and install it. Then i try to open XEN again but it still says that i need to be running the XEN kernel. i ran "rpm -qa | grep kernel" and this is what i got:
linux:/home/andrew # rpm -qa | grep kernel
I am very new to linux so if some one could please give me very detailed and clear instructions on what to do i would greatly appreciate it.

reboot your machine and select xen kernel while booting and then you can proceed with the creation of virtual machine.
