Problem with wine in fedora 4

I have installed wine on my computer. It was running happy as can be even with some very demanding programs. I am so far impressed with the program, but when I went to try and change skins on my winamp it froze. And I mean froze, like I have never seen in Linux. NOTHING worked at all. I rest the computer and went and tried it again, froze. So I reinstalled winamp, it fires up and the list of music populates but its giving me a sound card error. Does anyone have any ideas. Also how can I change the font that wine runs the programs in.

Thanks for your help
Kevin

why run winamp at all?? there are so many perfectly capable linux apps for playing music, including winamp clones like xmms.

And to add the suggestion, some linux players are skinable just like winamp. I believe one of those is xmms.

You might have it installed by defualt. If you have yum installed try using it to get the xmms package. also you can find plugins at www.freshrpms.net

Ok, I have downloaded the RPM for fedora core 4, but its telling me something about source code...

"Source RPM

The file "/home/kevin/Desktop/xmms-1.2.10-1.src.rpm" is a source RPM which cannot be installed with system-config-packages."

I am still fresh with Linux and I have NO idea what to do now... I feel really dumb but could anyone give me a direction to go.... Thanks

Hey that site it GREAT thanks for all your help guys! I got it to work after a little fussing around but I now have music! If you ever have a problem with your car/boat or airplane I can help you with that but I'm just starting with this Linux thing. I'm sure you will see me posting dumb help questions again!

Thanks very much
Kevin
