problem with user access


alright, when i try to play a cd with xmms as a normal user under Debian Woody i get no response, but when i do it as root i can play everything perfectly normally. ????

It has to do with root permissions. Go into where you mounted the cd and do ls -l

I tried mounting it but got "wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted file systems"
I'm pretty sure u can't mount an audio disc anyways....
