I have setup thunderbird using rpm packages on my Mandriva2005 LE. Everything seems to work, downloading mail from server and such but I can't seem to send mail although I have checked SMTP server a lot of times for typos.....

Is there anything on Mandrake that prevents Thunderbird from sending mail? My computer machine which is on a router is not firewall enable but the router is.

EDIT: I tested out Evolution as well without any luck. It must have been something setting in Mandrake.
