problem with the power button
 
i already know that the power button is to turn on/off the computer, an my problem is that after fallow this guide http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/power-management-guide.xm, but when i pressed the power button, the computer turns off. what a i want is that when i press the power button, displays the option that allow me to choice <suspend hibernate restart cancel shutdown>, but believe me i don't know what to do..... so i appreciate any advise or solution, and greetings from Guatemala :-).

ps. i'm ussing gentoo, and gnome, if any other info is needed please let me know.

There is no problem with the power button. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Nothing in that guide is related to the power button, or getting a menu after pressing the power button. You need to fix that link BTW.

The guide is dealing specifically with laptops, and uses ACPI events to change the run level. You would have to create your own script to show a menu after the button is pushed and an ACPI event is recieved.
