Problem with starting Tomcat

Hello all,

Installed Tomcat on my PC. But when I restarted it, since then it is not running.

The message I get is -
Code:
tomcat dead but pid file exists
I again start it with the service command, but it will not give any error messages.

Please help.

Regards.

You don't say what version/distro of Linux you're using, but have you checked the tomcat log files? Without details, no one will be able to help. Also, you say that it WAS running, but now it isn't....what did you do/change?
