Can you explain what the problem is in a bit more please? If you've burnt the images for the Slackware CDs, you can boot from CD 1 and proceed with the installation. You'll be able to remove your Windows partition during the installation as well.

Does the machine actually boot from the CD? I can't tell if you mean that it scans (i.e. reads) the CD then stops, or if you mean it runs for a few seconds and then stops.
Did you verify the ISOs after you downloaded them, to check that they weren't corrupt?

How exactly did you burn the images? Do those individual files appear on the CDs as they are, or do you see different folders and files on the CD?

Honestly, I don't know. Maybe try a Google search to see if anyone's managed to install Slack with your CD drive. Perhaps someone else will see this thread and know something. If not, I'm not sure what to suggest.

You shouldn't need a driver for cdrom. It should automatically detect it and mount it in /mnt/cdrom. If you have more than one cd drive try swapping drives.
If the cd install starts then it must be reading the cd ok...
BTW we have a forum just for slackware problems where people could help you more:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...php?forumid=14
And a forum *just* for installation problems:
