Problem with Powernowd
Hello everyone.
For a long time I have had problems with Ubuntu does not close properly, I have the applet 'CPU frequency control' enabled so I can control the border, but if it is not set to 'Ondemand' when I close the laptop, then Ubuntu does not power off the computer. I can't remove Powernowd, cause it always happens alle the time when I will shut down Ubuntu. I would really like to have it removed without the problem occurs, so how do I do? The problem occurs only when the laptop is running on battery. :S I am running Ubuntu 8.10 and my laptop is an HP dv6645eo. Could it possible even make a Kernel when Powernowd which is not integrated, it will help? In that case, how is it done? - Sorry for my bad english... |
Can't you remove powernowd by installing other cpu speed control appl?
#sudo serviceconfig Does #sudo shutdown -ha now work? |
