Problem with password protected zip file

I had to reinstall debian 8 because of a computer crash.

On my old system, I could open a password protected zip file by double clicking on it. On the new system it doesn't ask for my password, instead xarchiver gives an error:
Quote:

7-Zip (A) [64] 9.20 Copyright (c) 1999-2010 Igor Pavlov 2010-11-18
p7zip Version 9.20 (locale=nl_NL.utf8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,4 CPUs)

Enter password (will not be echoed) :
Error: /install/drv/systeem/x/K7s5a.7z: Can not open encrypted archive. Wrong password?

Errors: 1
I am able to unzip the file from the command prompt as a work around, but I find it strange xarchiver doesn't ask for the password anymore.

Any ideas?

According to the xarchiver website (http://xarchiver.sourceforge.net/doc/ch03s04.html): "The password detection doesn't work for 7zip archives because of the complexity of 7zip format."

Wonder if the old system had it opened in system and therefor no need to use password in any programs?

I think the previous installation used a different archiver. Just don't know which. Haven't yet had time to search for others. I thought it was default for Debian 8, but maybe it's not.

@jefro,
In old system I had to give in password, but the archiver asked for it. On this installation, xarchiver doesn't even give the possibility to enter password. It just generates an error.

Problem solved. Installed file-roller, and that did the trick.
