Problem with MythTV: Video doesn't always show up, sound works but...

Hi,

my problem is that I don't always get the video... with 480x480 it works most time... but if I said to the resolution I want which is 720x576 I never so a video... but I heard sound... although the sound does not always when I start watching have the same quality... one time it is perfekt.. and one time I have to try some times until you have it at a good quality...

One other thing: if I use a simple "cp /dev/video0 test.mpg" the created .mpg file works like a charm... after I canceled copying of course...

One thing which might could be the reason is that I get more messages from MythTV frontend which say that there are insufficient ressources...
But I don't know why... I have a Athlon XP 2400+ and 1GB RAM and 1GB swap space... and I also don't have such problems under Windows with the standard programs and as I also said... a simple cp command also makes no problem... it either is a bug in MythTV or some wrong configuration...

I am using an MPEG2 Hardware Encoder card... in this case it is a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 (which is connected to an USB2 port) on a Linux SuSE 9.1 system (complete fresh install) and I have set it to PAL which is what I use (I also tried SECAM.. but no change)...

I would also use another program that doesn't really matter but I don't know another program which works with MPEG2 tv cards... although I think MythTV seems to be the best program...

Btw. I have set up to right permissions for /mnt/store...

Any suggestions?

nobody any ideas or any other programs which support TV streaming from a MPEG2 hardware encoder card (like PVR250/350 and my WinTV PVR USB2)?
