Problem with my dual boot

Windows isnt involved.
I have dual booted Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.3 with PinguyOS. After the installations were completed I rebooted and my monitor said something about the resolution, the the monitor went to sleep, then a few seconds later I was in the PinguyOS login screen...
What do I have to change so that I can choose between Debian and PinguyOS in GRUB?
I will supply more info if needed

That's a little bit vague. What exactly does it say about the resolution?

Seems like you installed Pinguy last and it didn't detect the Debian installation. Pinguy is an Ubuntu derivative, isn't it? Boot it up and check the /boot/grub directory and see if you have a grub.cfg file there and check what is in it. If you can post info on which bootloader you have it should not be that difficult to resolve. Are Debian and Pinguy the only operating systems?

You could check the /etc/default/grub file for default and timeout settings.
