problem with mouse


I just finished installing RH7.1, I have a microsoft intellimouse with 3 buttons. only 2 buttons work in linux, how do i make it simulate the three button mouse as in sunsolarisOS, the middle button is used for copy and paste

Hi
Open a terminal window and type setup.
Move down to the mouse line.
Press return.
Select Microsoft ps2 intellimouse.
You don't need 3 button emulation.
Hit return.
Voila, scrolling in Star Office, and clicking the wheel acts as the middle button (or I assume that's what it is, never having had a 3 button mouse, or properly setup 2 button).

actually i had the mouse config right, all i got to do is deselect the emulate 3 button option
