Problem with just one DVD

Hi, I bought a Manga DVD and cannot play it, I get the message Warning this DVD might crypted. You can or can't use libdvdcss to play this disc that you bought in your country bla bla.

Thing is, I have watched many DVDs (even of the same series), no problems. I uninstalled libdvdcss_1.2.8-network to install the more recent libdvdcss2_1.2.9, but no luck...

to add to my confusion:
The film played in mplayer perfectly well, but just once. I tried to load it again, as soon as i tell it to open the dvd, it shuts down.

On windows it plays with Win Media Player 9 or Windows Media Player Classic, but with lots of jerks and missing blocks in the picture.
