problem with just installed samba on SUSE

Hi,
I installed Samba server, client and docs on Suse from source directory(8.2).
I cannot do anything with it.
Service command not works. I found on web /etc/init.d smb start
Not works eather.
Tried to find help - no. Manuals that I installed are crap.
All line are paste one after another.
In YAST network no samba. I even restart computer

Please, how to start it
By the way what is replacement of service command.
I will need it.
I am after Red Hat where Samba is not so hidden.
Thanks.
Michael.

I found the answer...
As usually it simple. Just after Red Hat it's different.

After samba installation:
1. run rcsamba start
2 to start at boot time : chkconfig 35
