i recently installed SuSE 9.1 (i did it again.......after returning back from other OSs)

Now my problem is the preinstalled version of Kopete is outdated and it crashes and yahoo doesn't connect.

No problem......since i have the updated version of Kopete already downloaded.
I had installed it previously with a lot of ease.

But now,
When i click on this RPM, i get an option which sez "install package with YAst"

Now when i open Yast, nothin appears automatically, and i have to search for that....

Now the version of Kopete that is the result of this search is some stunk that i wanna get rid of.........

So now how do i install the latest version of Kopete?

What am i doin wrong?

You could try installing it from the command line by doing "rpm -Uvh filename.rpm" as root.
