running debian etch
was using file roller for builing files that had been rar'd
not sure what happened, but now when i try to open a rar file no contents are visible.

decided to reinstall fileroller. when running ./configure
I get

libgnomui-2.0
gnome-vfs-2.0
gnome-vfs-module-2.0

not found

is there a tarball for these combined dependancies?

on another note that may or may not be related just installed winamp; only it doesn't show up in the desktop manager either gnome or kde

Normally, one does not manually compile programs that are readily available from the repositories. Also, it's past time to upgrade to Lenny. I doubt you can get those dependencies in Etch. You can, of course reinstall the Etch version of file-roller. You'll also need unrar-nonfree.
