Problem with DHCP/Wireless on Backtrack 4
I am trying to connect to my wireless at home and cannot for the life of me get it to obtain correctly. Here is my input to it.
root@bt:~# iwconfig wlan0 essid LEDUC.NET root@bt:~#iwconfig wlan0 channel 6 root@bt:~# ifconfig wlan0 up root@bt:~# dhcpcd wlan0 err, wlan0: poll: No such file or directory root@bt:~# dhcpcd.sh: interface wlan0 has been brought down (try it again) root@bt:~# dhcpcd wlan0 err, wlan0: poll: No such file or directory root@bt:~# dhcpcd.sh: interface wlan0 has been brought downroot (and again, but with a self assigned IP) root@bt:~# dhcpcd wlan0 err, wlan0: timed out warn, wlan0: using I{V4LL address 169.254.1547.80 dhcpcd.sh: interface wlan0 has been configured with new IP=169.254.1547.80 I am using a D-link DWLG510. My connection is open. From what I know it DOES use the athros chip. Any ideas as to what could be causing something like this? Thanks |
