Are you using name based virtual hosts? That is something more covered in depth in the apache manual. I can only give hints like make sure you have php module loaded, have php.ini configured, set index.php as a start page in httpd.conf and stuff like that.

As to the virtual host problem, you need to allow permission to any supplementary virtual hosts:
<VirtualHost *:8080>
   DocumentRoot d:\web_page
      <Directory d:\web_page>
      Allow from all
Don't know about the php issue.

The following applies to a php4 install on a slackware box, so in your situation you might have different files and you might have to replace php4 with php5

The following lines should be there, if not add them.

search for 'LoadModule' in http.conf
LoadModule php4_module        libexec/apache/
search for 'AddModule' in http.conf
AddModule mod_php4.c
search for 'DirectoryIndex' in http.conf (this is optional)
DirectoryIndex index.php index.html
search for 'Addtype' in http.conf
<IfModule mod_mime.c>
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
<IfModule mod_mime.c> and </IfModule> are only added for reference

This should cater for the problem that apache does not procezss the file.

If you don't come right with the virtual host issue, please post the relevant part of httpd.conf (or wherever it's defined.
