problem while installing p2p program

i have downloaded the P2P software "Apollo" which is giFT based...
i got an error while doing ./configure :

"checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!"

of course i have XFree86 running, and i have RedHat 9.0 .
can someone try to help?

You'll need to install the xfree86-devel package as well.

It should be located on your distro's install CD(s).

that part went well, now another one...

checking for libz... configure: error: not found. Check your installation and look into config.log

i've serached rpm finding sites and no result found...
what should i do now?
