Problem w/ KAudioCreator

I am having a little bit of a problem with KAudioCreator. I'm trying to use it to create mp3 files of 160 Kbps (fixed) bitrate. The default of lame, the encoder it uses, is 128 Kbps (according to the man file).

Now, I try to change the bitrate by adding the "-b 160" command-line option in "setting KAudioCreator." However, the change is gone after I hit "OK." And for some strange reason, the result mp3 files have varying bitrates; some are 128 Kbps, others are 192 Kbps.

I looked at ~/.kde/share/config/kaudiocreatorrc and sure enough, the lame command line has not been saved there.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong? I am using KDE 3.1.5 that came with Turbolinux 10 Desktop. A friend who is using KDE 3.3 with Slackware-Current says he has no such problem.

TIA,
Dai
