problem to go on the web
 

hi

my brother have a little problem wih his computer (hp a1540n)
he have windows and linux
if he start windows and after he go to linux, the web don't work.....
he need to close the computer, unplug it and wait a few second... plug it, restart it and go to linux..... and the web work....

any idea?

Perhaps try to stop and restart the networking device? That sounds odd since when you "go from Windows to Linux", on a dual-boot machine for example, you shut the pc down and then boot it again (restart). So what helps is that you need to unplug the pc, so to me it sounds like something gets "jammed" (reserved or something), and it's not released until all the currents are stopped (unplug the computer).

Have you tried to unplug different kinds of cables, to see which one causes the problem? Is it the power cable, or does it help to remove the network cable only? Could you test if it works for wireless or not?
