problem starting x window

Hi all,
I have updated my nvidia driver software to the latest one available available for my redhat linux 9 PC. after that I could not start the x window system. the system reports the following error.
(EE) failed to load module "xie" (module does not exist,0)

Remove the DRI section at the bottom. Other than that, what are the xei and pex5 modules? If they're not needed (and they aren't even present!) try removing the references to them in the config file.
